Hey guys, I'm massively new to this forum but I been coming here for a few months. I' been thinking of buy a 100b for yrs but never had the money for it until now. Had to take a loan for it and im getting the money this fall. I wanted to know how the 35mm adapter work on the 100b? Like does it make it look like ur shooting on actual 35mm? or it just gives it more of a film look?

Go read through the forum this question has been answered 1000x. Are you new to a prosumer camera such as the DVX or greater? If so, just focus on using that since it will take you awhile to figure everything out. A 35mm adapter requires lights and a bunch of accesories that will run you more than your camera is worth.

I never owed a camera before, and yes it will be my first prosumer camera. I guess thought the 35mm adapter would make it have that film look.

if you've been here for a few months I'm pretty sure you know the search function so use that to search your topics.
also for your next question, search the word DVX100 & 35mm adatper on youtube/vimeo and you will get a lot of video so make your judgment yourself. (use the word sgpro, redrock, letus or brevis when you search for 35mm adapters.)

A 35mm adapter lets you use 35mm lenses for their various properties. You should be able to find information in the relevant forums, as with above. There is no certain toy that makes it look film like except shooting on film. And even then there's more to it. The camera is one small piece of the setup, one of the least important. I've seen bad or even moderate DVX footage outmatched by exceptional footage on a $500 consumer camera.

This will be true at least until HDR technology allows the camera to make its own lighting scheme and they start shipping with a "Write My Movie" function built in.
