Am considering a few different cameras, the Canon, HVX and also, for interim shooting, the 100B, though I have not handled one. Snaders has them boxed, Magnetic Image does not carry them.
I am in Santa Rosa, so if anyone is out there nearby, please give a holler..
Thank you,
Stuart

As he exited quietly from this particular thread, a loud voice from the heavens stopped him in his tracks, "...so which camera did you get...?"
Jan, I got a JVC GY HD 100, from a production company which had it given to them at one of the film festivals.
My primary reason is because it has a real lens, not a great one, but one that does not need all sorts of attachments to make it work like the lenses I normally use.

Frankly, it seemed too early for me to make a HD decision, as expensive 4 and 8 min cards, plus a computer just did not cut it for me. It seems to me that Panasonic may have a better and more receptive customer service dept, as my experiences with JVC the past five yrs have been their representatives helping me very much, but the issues should not have been happening with such frequency to begin with.

Because of my association with the production company, I now have the camera, which will be used primarily for future stock footage. Through my studying the posts I now have a new respect and a high value for Panasonic and this forum and will again seriously consider their cameras in the future.
Thank you,
Stuart
