Does anyone notice that in 24pA mode, interlaced artifacts seem to be more evidant than in 24p Standard. If you shoot something with thin angled lines, 24p has virtually no interlaced "Stairsteps", but switching to 24pA, they pop out. Is this normal, and will a transfer to 24 fps output (Film) get rid of this.

Re: 100a 24pA (Interlaced Look)

Capture both to native 24p timeline and they should look the same, if not, ther progressive image will be what the film out will have for starting quality. Export a fill TIFF frame other uncompressed graphic format and compare the two.

Re: 100a 24pA (Interlaced Look)

this is probably due to differences in the vertical detail frequency setting, not the frame rate. in the default f5 setting it is thick and in f6 it is thin, which will cause more interlace artifacts when displayed in a non progressive enviroment
