This is a musical section of the video... well okay I'll be honest guys I was bored tonight and made this in an hour and forty five minutes from concept to completion...


CONCEPT: Tripod shot, with 2 long takes - me lip synching to a song.

HURDLES: My one and only camera (canon zr-60) is dying, you'll notice wierd artifacting pop up, the camera also has decided that it will shut off randomly (somethings up with the power supply)

I like this better than your other music video. The dirty heads is kind of cool, I thought of it as an effect and not a distraction. Well done.
 
I am REALLY impressed, Monte. Your stock price just went up a few points. I might need to buy some Monte stock before it gets too expensive. For you to make that using a small consumer camera is incredible. The quality looked good and the lighting was cool. Seriously, I'm impressed. Good job!
 
Cool Monte...can you give me the tip on the shake effect? Been trying to find a solid tutorial lately to no avail....
 
ya monte.. cool.. loved the dirty head glitches and streched out light. you got some style brewing. if i was a band in MN i would be all over your ass to make MVs. get a reel together and get moving.. you will be slamming when you are in your 20s.

That was actually pretty awesome. I'm impressed with how you used your "hurdles" to your advantage and made something pretty cool
 
I'm surprised you guys think it was cool - but yeah, my thousandth post video will be coming soon. Just thought I'd give you all the heads up on that

The trick was just to get the camera NOT TO AUTOEXPOSE goddamn, that was obnoxious. But it killed my boredness for about two hours, so that's all good

That was pretty cool man!

The lighting was pretty cool. I liked the camera shaking. Wat'd you use to create that? After Effects?
 
Very nice job, Monte. For the time spent, an excellent piece of work.

If you're going to go with the open shirt thing and "older" music, I might have picked "Sympathy for the Devil" from the Stones, though. :evil:

Monte, that video was tight, but the content coupled w/ the Word document that's minimized on your desktop makes me worried. :)
 
No worries boys - you don't have to watch your asses around me. Simply a speech I typed up a while ago, so if anybody walks into my room I can simply bring it up over DVXuser so it looks like I'm doing work.
 
have you thought about doing some spec spots? you may be able to pull off on your own and not have to worry about others.. + really good to have on your reel.
