< 1000$ Underwater Enclosure?

For an HVX200a

I need something affordable and easy! Going to be shooting semi-closeup in-wave surfing, obviously I will be going underwater as the wave passes by and getting out to the waves but literally I am only going to be a few feet underwater at any given time...

Not going to be snorkeling/diving with this.

Anyone know a good enclosure that isn't incredibly expensive?

I am kinda leaning towards one of these two, but not too sure on the quality of either so if anyone has experience with one of the two that would also be appreciated!

EPIC Housing Pro HD

P.S. After searching a bit I found some solid info on the one I was leaning towards (Epic Housing Pro HD) so it looks like I will be going with that unless anyone has any negative stuff with regard to it... Silica Packets to give me more time out in the water before the condensation fogs the inside is genius btw.

i rent my housing for surf. has a glass flat raised port every control you need. was made to shoot off jetski or floating in the surf. just dove down 60ft with it in fiji. pics are on my web site. www.jetaddiction.com

Yeah, taking it to South America for 3-6 months, renting for that long would easily buy one of the expensive ones.

I put in an order for the Epic Pro HD one, should be here next week, can't beat 400$ and I won't be doing enough water shooting to justify a nicer one.

i had a EPIC housing for a Panny NV-GS120 once upon a time. was soooo basic. all i could do was press record haha. It was super reliable because it was just so basic!! Its definetaly a better choice then a splash bag.

The guy i work with to make Pro. bodyboarding videos has a SPL housing made in the states. Made out of aluminium. best housing ive ever seen. He even helped out a crew get shots for some feature film that was getting made.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, basically get the camera all setup to do the water shots, put it in the enclosure, put on some fins and get out there with my bro, we switch off on camera/surfboard duty, it will be a tough life!

Great shots, I will have to be aware of the lighting from the looks of it.

Me and a buddy of mine were planning to head out on a trip in Decemberish to some other country, things got pretty utterly retarded at work here for me (to the point where I decided to put in notice early) and we bumped the date up to July 1 and decided to roadtrip as far as we could go into Central/Southern America (from Sunny Southern California) in my little 89' Honda Accord.

I get the camera today to start playing with, the rest of the parts and the enclosure should be here next week (just in time for what looks to be a VERY big swell hitting the coast.) So that gives me about a week and a half to get some editing pipelines worked out, my shot setups and some water housing tests done before we go!
