$1000 FS5 Mail In Rebates were just announced by Sony.

I am seeking a clarification with Sony to determine if this offer can be combined with other current Sony promotions. Stand by.

Sony PXW-FS5 Camera Body $5749 ($4749 after $1000 Mail In Rebate)

SONY PXW-FS5K CAMERA W/ 18-105MM LENS $6299 ($5299 after $1000 Mail in Rebate)

End user customers who purchase the PXW-FS5 or PXW-FS5K camcorder during the promotion period
of June 1, 2017 through July 31, 2017 are eligible to receive a $1,000.00 mail-in rebate from Sony.

Ugh oh! The FS5 isn't selling well. Perhaps Sony will upgrade the codecs in the camera and add features that make the camera more useful. I love the form factor, but miss those features that make it easier to use in a professional setting. It is not all about price.
