$1000 for a tripod

I have $1000 to spend on a tripod. Any recommendations? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Any Sachtler DV series tripod is good. Perhaps the DV 2 or 4. Both are available from EVS and B&H for around $1000.

Go for an O'conner if you can find one to fit your specs. I sure do like the way the head responds.
