Not to hijack the thread (I love the video, Pookie, and look forward to more favorite quotes on this thread!), but what in the heck in happening down in Fallbrook??!! I live in L.A. and my folks moved down there some years back. When I visited, I thought, "What a cool, country-like, out-of-the-way setting with little fruit stands along the side of the road, etc." Before they moved there, I had never really heard of the place (except that I would pass by it on the I-15 on the way to San Diego). But NOW - filmmakers go there, people are shooting there, film festivals are based there. What is going on down there??

hmm...that's all news to me. but strangely, on my way to work yesterday, i did see a 2 person crew with a gnarly camera setup on the shoulder of I-15 north. i thought"huh...i wonder that's so amazing about the side of that mountain"...

that's crazy....been here a ,long time, and i'm not aware of any "film culture" here. i think i'll start to keep an eye on things thought, because people would probably pay to shoot where i live :-)
 
or maybe it's because Sandra Bullock owns a home here, , Tori Spelling bought a bed and breakfast here, Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) and Weird Al Yankovic's parents live here (well, his parents passed away)....i don't know, and i havent noticed anything.
