Here is a promo piece I shot entirely on a GH2 with older Nikon AI-S primes and a little Zaza slider thrown in for good measure.

The video is nice, but i see massive macrobloking... i have the same issue when the camera was not hacked (on GH1). Congrats, keep on the good work.

Yeah, definitely some blocking and banding, but some of that is due to Vimeo... it really looks a lot better run from my PC. Also make sure to watch in HD, it reduces some of those issues.

I personally liked the underexposed backgrounds and dimly lit subjects. Nice work.

There actually was quite a bit of light, I think I had a 350 and a 1000 in a softbox going for most of it (plus a 650 in some shots). I brought up the blacks in post because I wanted it to have a look where there were no deep blacks. This brings out some of the blocking, I guess.

I am just not feeling it either. I love the editing. I am a huge MMA fan. However, the underexposed, strobing, and macro blocks just are not my thing. What mode did you shoot in? It almost looks like you shot 1080i and tried to slow it down with poor deinterlacing.
Was the underexposure in the original video or did you pull it like that? Maybe a remix is in order?
