But do all you refer to photography or video? I refer only to the video.
As a rule of thumb, choose ISO 200 or higher for video work. ( V-Log L will force you to start at ISO 400 or higher )

In video mode the GH5 only shoots about 6 stops of dynamic range at 100 extended ISO. As DXO shows it's 13 stops in RAW stills mode at ISO 100. Stills and video are apples and oranges for dynamic range at extended ISO 100.But do all you refer to photography or video? I refer only to the video.
If I understand well in every situation, even with strong daylight, it is always better to use 400 ISO for shooting video (I don't make photos). Do I understand well with my bad english?

Who is right?
Aaargh, I am jealous!![]()
..... The image above was shot at ISO 400/f8, shutter 180º with a variable ND filter in BRIGHT Kenyan sun.
I assume we are talking video here not photography.
For the highest dynamic range you need to shoot in v-log or HLG and that requires a minimum of 400 ISO.
- (I still recommend you change your setting to display shutter angle instead of shutter speed because if you do so, the camera calculates the correct speed, no matter your frame rate.)
- May I ask why you are shooting 50P if your desire is to film "people"? (By people, I assume you mean documentary style.) The reason I ask is because high frame rates tend to yield a "news" or "soap opera" look that many people subconsciously equate with "cheap video." 24P or 25P tends to hide minor imperfections and generally is subconsciously equated with "quality."
No worries. Relevant information here: http://eng-ca.faq.panasonic.com/app...tings-for-shutter-speed,-angle,-iso-&-gain.--Sorry to disturb you so much with my inexperience about my new camera. But what do you mean with that writing? I'm telling you I shoot in 400 ASA, 50p, 1/100 and f8 or f11. Isn't all that the right setting display shutter angle? Or what would I do precisely please to set the GH5 better?
I don't think one or the other will necessarily do better with "flicker" - it's a matter of personal preference. Which "look" to the motion do you prefer. Most people still prefer 24/25 fps (movies/documentaries) to 50/60 fps (news/sports/soap operas)Good question ahaha. I shoot in 50p only because I film indigenous people around the world and they often are are immobile or with slow movements in their huts but sometimes they run or cut the wood and I have to follow and run after them with my camera in my hands or to hunt with them. If I have to be sincere I don't know if 50p is the right framerate. Then I use very little a tripod and I think shooting in 25p could create some problems with flickering of the image. Repeat, for me GH5 is new to me and I hope to set my camera in the right way.
