1/48 Shutter Speed?

Hey guys, i wanted to try shooting 24fps with a shutter speed of 1/48. However, when i go to the shutter speed options, there's really nothing but 1/24 1/50 1/60 1/120.

Can you set at 1/48 shutter speed on the HMC-40? I see this "Sync" option and you can set that to 1/48 but is it the same thing?

Yes, use the Syncro Scan to set it to 1/48.

I thought that turning shutter "off" makes it 1/48..ie: that's the default?

"default" is 1/50 in progressive 24/25/30p/50p/50i, and 1/60 in 60p/60i.
