I've heard that some use 1/42 or even 1/36 shutter speeds on the DVX to reduce judder. Since the HVX is HD and has even sharper edges (said to be the cause of videos judder, that is unlike film) I was wondering if any HVX users are also using slower shutter speeds and what they were.
I know 1/48 (180 degree shutter) is the standard but I've read even Varicam operators are told they might want to shoot with a 200 (about 1/42) degree shutter to smooth movement.
If this is what some are doing, it's another advantage of the HVX over HDV cams, because they're unable to do this.
Thank you.
