[WTB] 1.2k PAR HMI

Hey all,


This is a bit of a long shot considering what I'm willing to pay. I already own a Chinese HMI and love it, and I'm looking into getting a second HMI. I was considering buying a used name brand HMI as my second light to see how it compares to the Chinese light. All that said, I can get a Chinese 1.2k PAR with electronic power factor corrected ballast for around $2,600-2,900 shipped.


Is there anyone out there that would be interested in letting a 1.2k PAR with power factor ballast go for around that same price? I'm not terribly picky on brand: LTM, DeSisti, CMC, Arri, Powergems, etc.

I snagged my 1.2k DeSisti HMI kit from pyramid-films.com a few years ago for under $2k. I'd recommend checking their site periodically if you're looking for a similar deal.

Thanks, Tom! I always check in on their site By the way, how do you like your DeSisti HMI? I've read mixed things about them on the web.

Ah, so you, too, know the best used equipment secret on the internet!

The DeSisti I have has an electronic ballast and has been excellent. Never had an issue; fires up reliably every time.
