Well, was the first time I shot in extremely hazy morning weather. Man it was hard. But the surf was too good not to film. Grabbed some shots. No color correction was made on the hyperion pipestacks.

Are there any certain filters made to work with hazy days I can look into? Right now I've just got a couple of B&H & Tiffen UV filters.

Not sure about the filters, but your shots look great! Beautiful.

Dude, it's 4am there. Get some sleep.

WaveRider your shots look really nice, good work. P.K., what time is it in Thailand? It's 10:19 here in Australia (non-daylight savings)

Hey thanks dude.

I work the night shift now at our post-facility :( I train myself to stay up till 5 in case i have to work an all nighter.

Re: 1-23-05-SoCal Surf Pics

hehe, I meant 10:19pm incase you thought I meant AM. It's now 12:08am. Isn't this a threadkiller haha. And and interesting one at that, discussing world times. ;D I'll bring the conversation back to the surf pics.... WaveRider, were you using filters when you took that footage, cos it looks weird, but in a really good way.

Re: 1-23-05-SoCal Surf Pics

Nice grabs...watch your horizon line...some of the shots are off to the point that the composition is not as good as it could have been. This is just my opinion, perhaps it was intentional on your part.

Love the shot with the pelicans flying behind the surfer.

Mr Lint,
I shoot alot in SouthBay. I don't bother in the P.V. area though. they've still got the asshole 1970s localism mentailty there. People will **** on your car, slash tires etc... You would think with a nice area like PV, they'd be more civilized.

disjectca,
Man, I was hoping no one would mention that horizon line lol!
The tide changing was giving me issues. I had to stay safe above because the water wasn't dropping as fast. The sand slope I was on land slided and I almost dropped my camera to the sand and it almost became part of the pacific ocean... So I just went to higher ground and put the tripod as low as I could without hurting my back. Anyone have any tips on dealing with tide change?

Ronik,
Mostly friends I shoot. Some are sponsored. But I may be shooting pros pretty soon. A few local pros saw my footage. Not sure though.

FlatEric,
only a clear UV Tiffen Filter was used. Nothing out of the ordinary.

You are right on the money. It's 5 min from my house. MB still gets some good waves. I used to work for Morey Boogie in 98'. Good to know there's another sponger in da' house.
