Okay, so here’s the long awaited VA 5000. I posted a DIY a couple of weeks ago on how to make an earlier version of this mount. In the past two weeks I've had a couple of requests to make them for people. I’m only going to make five of them for $50 (because that’s what I quoted in the original forum) and I’m going to offer them to the first five people that asked. So, for the first five people that order them I’ll only charge $50(plus shipping). Then, I’m going to bump it to $65 (plus shipping) (the only reason I’m going to bump the price is because I was told that I was retarded to let this thing go for any less). Get your orders in now. J I’m going to start making them this weekend and hope to start shipping by sometime next week.

Don’t get me wrong, this is a “home-made” shoulder mount. It looks really professional though. I've used it on a shoot and got a couple of compliments on it. I’ll still hand out the plans for the first model to anyone that wants them.

Here’s the deal, I’m an honest student that really didn't want to make these for a living. I wanted to share the DIY version with DVX user.com. When I first posted I had no intensions of making any kind of “profit” from them. But, like I said, I got a couple of requests for them and I thought I’d give it a try. If you want one let me know, if you don’t that’s cool. If you want to ream me for trying, I respect that too. Let me know.

PM me or E-mail me if you want to put your order in.

(Edit- Sorry, I’m not going to ship the counter weight because it would cost you more to ship the weight then you to go down to Wal-Mart and buy it. It runs about $3 and it would cost like an extra $7 for me to ship it. I will include the bolt assemble for it though. )

thanks much,
Vince

(. If you want to ream me for trying said:
Why would anybody "Ream" you for trying? And you shouldn't "Respect" anybody for saying anything other than "great job".

You made a very nice product and are offering it for a great price. You are doing people a favor so you should be thanked, not reamed.

Respect yourself and your work and be proud.

just for clarification, I was talking about reaming me for whoring my mount on the DVX forum :) now that I read it, it does sound a little sappy. lol.

thanks for your support kelly. I really appreciate it. :)

I hit my mark :)

I hit my mark :)

I just sold my fifth shoulder mount. Thank you to everyone who has purchased one in the past week. So now it's time to raise the price, Sorry. :-( The price now $65 plus shipping. Get your orders in fast because I'm going to sunny Florida from 8-8-06 till 8-18-06. If you get your order in before the 5th I'm sure I can turn them out before I head out wednesday the 8th.

Thanks again everyone,
-Vince

On the new mount I brought the handles closer to the body. The farther they are out the more back pain you suffer... lol... I learned that the hard way. Now that the camera and the handles are close to the body it's more stable, easier to see the LCD, Causes less fatigue, and is much better on the back. Shipping to miami will be $15. I can have it shipped by wednesday. :)

-Thanks much

Hey Vince,

The .pdf would be great.

Hell, I'll paypal you $5 for saving me the effort of designing one. Just for the hell of it.

Count me in.

sincerely,

Is there anyone who is making one of these shoulder mounts from VMF/Vince's design interested in making an additional one to sell to me? They look great. (Nice job Vince.)

Camera Shoulder Mount-- WOW!!!

Camera Shoulder Mount-- WOW!!!

Wow... okay, here's the official deal :) I stopped making the shoulder mount about 6 months ago. it got to be too time consuming. sorry for not making them anymore. I really wish that i could. so if you want to PM me your e-mail i'll send you the old plans. the major difference between the old mount and the new mount is you have to bring the camera closer to your body. And i used different bolts to bolt the tie straps together. okay... with all that said. i'd like to thank Ian for offering to paypal some money for the plans. but like i told him. it's not necessary but thank you :)

so just shoot me your e-mail and save yourself some money :)

Hey Vince, I'd love to get a copy of the instuctions on how to make one of these, and would be happy to paypal you some money for it. I'll PM you my email.

-Seth

Yeah, I'd love these plans as well, if anyone has them. I'd be willing to pay (the original designer) for them.
