Yup - we have same policy - although you are carrying a lot more (more than double ) in personal property coverage than I am. And I also have 25k liability and drone coverage included in mine. Location must be highly involved in the pricing. I'm based in Indiana and pay less than double what you...
So Jim, bumping this thread, as I just got my email from the same company. My price jumped over $100 - which is roughly 15% increase. I also have never filed a claim. Have both liability and equipment coverage, plus drone coverage. Wondering if you have a new underwriter for yours before I start...
Nice work Rob. Really like the gimbal shots and look of the Fuji. Also agree on why I'm so often asked to shoot 4K 60fps - I also assumed that most young shooters don't hold shots typically long enough - so 2 seconds can become 4.
I would 2nd Alaska Cam Dude's post / and vote for the Sony UWP - if I was in the market. I've rented that system for a couple of shoots that should have had a separate audio guy - and it worked flawlessly and if I recall correctly is able to do two transmitters into one receiver for ch 1 & 2 or...
OP - I don't have the exact same set up as you - but I've been decently impressed using mine with my a7sIII and also the wireless adapter for Sony hotshoe. (and it also works really well with Osmo Pocket 3). You definitely can start / stop the transmitter recording from the receiver. (I also...
Chris - I don't have an FX6 - but certainly like that feature when it came with FW update for my a7sIII - and good to read that Sony is updating other "old" models. Thanks for posting.
Can I also just say - you are much braver or adventurous than me - updating the firmware the night before a...
Have always enjoyed your posts on this Paul. If your "growth on retirement money has been spectacular", how is your interest and dividends "small beans"? All capital gains?
My wife just retired last year - and I'm just starting on my taxes for 2025, so I'm interested and learning all the time...
That's a good tip Chris! I should have said in my earlier post that 99% of the time, I also just manually adjust the Kelvin temp and then leave it. To see how close I can guesstimate, I like to guess first by eye, then dial it in while thru VF.
Except in the situations Charles just described in...
For very R&G situations - and specifically if I'm shooting footage that I don't get to grade / color / edit but have to dump immediately after the shoot, then a white or grey card (or warm card) is always in my camera bag.... I have one of these...
To the OP, 0000 - if you want to PM me (assume that's still possible here), maybe now is the time for me to unload 2 HVX200's, P2 cards, batteries, and even P2 slotted hard drive storage mobile unit... to a new member in need....
I would 2nd Charles opinion on this. The HVX200 was essentially an HD "update" to the original DVX100. It can shoot in true 24p - in certain modes and had decent run times in 720p - shooting to P2 cards. Did a lot of corporate work with that camera when it first came out - and can certainly have...
I still occasionally use his "field monitor" app for my iPhone or iPad - even though Sony has finally caught up with their own apps for wireless external monitoring and recording (these were specific to the mirrorless realm at one time).
Have fun shooting outside with it in the sun, Sam, while dangling your bright external monitor off of the cage you'll also surely need with no VF.
Ooof.
Sam - I helped on a corporate shoot last year with their internal person... using the Osmo Action cams and pretty sure these:

We put at least 3 camera's on service trucks - 2 on the...
Well I would venture to guess the omission of a loupe or VF is Doug's one thing to change. And if so, I whole-heartedly agree. Maybe those twenty-somethings like shooting outdoors using the small LCD... but not this old, er, experienced camera op...
That instantly makes it a no-go for me, Sony...
