I have some tapes integral to a piece I am working on, that was shot on cheapo maxell mini dv tapes on a dvx 100. The JVC deck I am using doesn't want to read them. Any thoughts.

I have access to 3 litepanel minis or bricks or whatever you call them. Do you think I can succesfully light an interview with these lights. Do they get bright enough? How would you do it?

Everyone recommends shooting w/ zebras peeking on a caucasians face at 70-75 ire. My DVX only goes down to 80 as an option, does this mean I should dial down to right before the zebra lines appear on a subjects face? Thanks, Noah

I made some adjustments on FCP 5.1.4 because I was working with HD. Now I am back to my DVX100 and every clip needs to be rendered when i drop it in the time line? What settings should I be on to correct this? Thanks, Noah

I mostly shoot documentary style footage. I recently purchased a xh a1. what is the best way to use the zebra option? Outdoors for instance the sky is going to be overexposed compared to the subjects face when only using available light? Thanks

What is the best way to set zebra? Anything will help are the zebras what you want to set as key light. Shooting doc style sometimes having the subject exposed properly leaves the sky overexposed. Is zebra ony for a controled enviornment? Thanks
