Hi to all,
just watched news and heard about the world climate report - seems like sad news.
Those "FILM IS BETTER THAN HD ( or in this case, Red )" - guys won´t acknowledge this but I thought about the negative effects of the film industry on the environment and climate, like the huge amounts...
I was surfing the net, when something caught my eye:
http://www.truecolorspace.com/
Maybe it got mentioned somewhere, but this is new to me...
The "True16"-camera mentioned, sounds like a pendant of a smaller version of R1 some people were constantly asking for...
But like always, I´m highly...
I read about this new Lithium-technology last year, sounds expensive, but seems to be the right thing for next-generation cameras and equipment, so I think that´d make a nice companion for Red cameras : www.a123systems.com
By the way, any infos if Red One will be a 12 or 24 Volt-powered system...
I´m wondering where this information came from, the 300mm lens from Red is labelled to be a f 2.8 lens, but I´m reading over and over again from several people that the zoom lens will be a f2.8, too. Is that true ?
K.
I´d ike to have controls like those on the Arriflexes, it´s so easy to set speed, sensitivities and so on because you can directly access them, not like the handycams where you have to go through several layers of menues just to turn off the steadyshot.
My idea - integrate a function that resembles flashes like those when starting / stopping filmcameras ( don´t know if the RED camera can do it for real, I don´t mean that fake digital flashes. )
