Hey people of DVXuser,
this short is really dirty, actors were young*and supposed to have blemished skin, light is harsh on*purpose.*
We had two 4x4 Kinos, Aputure 120D, *Ice light, two 2x2 light mats.
One AC, one gaffer.*
Shot on BMPCC4K*with Tokina 28-70 2.6-2.8 (great vintage zoom)...
So a local production company gave me their BMPCC4K to shot this live session for a friend of a friend.
His project is called "a friend of mine" which makes this hilarious.
Any how. This was live and I was doing all the lighting and camera work on my own, so we only shot two angles...
I might have solved an issue I ve had forever: practical light sources that are color tuneable, color accurate, dimmable and (nobody asked for that but whatever) wirelessly controllable. Yeah. Oh and cheap. And yes the controller is a consumer product but for whatever reason: it is flicker free...

I had 200 bucks to rent a slider and an easyrig.
They cooked for us. Had a great team.
I never lit a space this big and also directing/DPing/producing was a nightmare.
I wish I could focus on just lighting/shooting. Could have spared myself and...
Hey peepz,
I hope this is allowed here.
after testing and trying things in my studio for the last 2 years I finally shot my first short.
We were a dp tag team. I lit, exposed and graded everything. My co dp Julia composed the shots.
I like were I have come, too. But please please help me...
I am not Noah but used the 18td on a shoot yesterday. I like it.
Taped it to walls and ceilings, it was my main light for the shoot and dimmed to 30% most of the time.
The shots are graded to be dirty. Color quality is good!
Any questions? I also own the softbox which is a great addon.
Hey guys,
I have been building lights myself for a while and always been using YUJI LED Strips - they are pretty expensive and I wonder where one could get these strips cheaper directly from the factory?
Anyone has any experience?
Cheers
