Used to be able to access ETC mode by assigning it to a button and toggling it on and off. Simple. However, after the last upgrade that simple functionality is gone. Maybe I'm missing something, but can't figure out how to get rid of the super annoying choice that I'm now presented with between...
Hi Everyone,
Have been posting over in the AF100 and GH2 forums for awhile and have been lurking here, but this is my first post.
Am really loving the AC160A. Still just playing around with it, but after having used AF100s since first release, the AC160 lens and video cam features are a huge...
Haven't had time to upgrade myself, but ran across this on Ken Stone's site and thought some may find it helpful:

Shot with AF100 at 60/24p - Tokina AT-X 300mm, f/2.8
What do you guys think of the levels on this? Shot on a cloudy day. Looks okay on the scopes, but seems a bit dull to me. Maybe just a combo of the dull background and subdued natural coloring of the squirrels.
Well, no surprise here - it's another backyard bird video. But, hopefully, not so typical. Pretty sure this was shot at either 1600 or 3200 - most of my 300mm shots are in order to get a decent DOF for shoots like this.
Used a Tokina 300mm, f/2.8 that I scooped up in mint condition a couple of...
Since Free Run is disabled in VFR, am pretty sure the answer is no, but hoping someone may have a workaround to suggest. Both cams are set to the same frame rate, if that it makes any difference. Seems a shame this apparently can't be done. Thanks.
I really didn't want to buy rails, etc. just to support my 35-100. So I went the cheapo route and got a Manfrotto 293 Telephoto Lens Support for $70. You may laugh, but the lens and cam go on very quickly and come off just as easily. Plus it allows me to keep the tripod collar on the 35-100; all...
Speaking of embedding, is there some way to use the new Vimeo embed code here so that people using mobile devices including the iPad (here's looking at you Kholi) can view them?
No problem, had everything handy...although it was a bit tricky prying that cat away from Otis.
Paul, I'll see if I can set up that shot for you, but no promises. Otis doesn't like to be interviewed that much and the BBC was here just yesterday.
Have an opportunity to buy a Tokina AT-X 300 SD (Nikon) - it's the old manual focus version of this 300mm 2.8 prime. Weighs a ton, but I've seen the lens and shot some footage with it. Very sharp lens, but I'm not used to a lens of this focal length and was surprised by the extremely shallow...
This is the first thing I've shot with the hack. A little disappointed with some vertical banding, but I don't think it would really be noticeable unless you were looking for it. Vimeo accentuated it a bit too.
Used "C" settings and 720p at 1/125 conformed to 23.98 wirh Cinema Tools.

Had always wanted to visit the Canadian Rockies and had heard the drive from Banff to Jasper was spectacularly awesome. And it truly is. Got lots of great scenery footage, but decided to do a short video focusing on the wildlife first. Also shot some fantastic, up-close footage of a black bear...
Finally got the chance to edit some footage of a hawk I shot last January. This was shot over a two week plus period by setting up 2 GH1s and letting them run from first light to dusk every day. Couldn't get near the cameras except to swap out cards because this bird had eyes like a hawk.
Shot...
We want to loop a video on multiple 46" Panasonic VIERA TVs. The plan is to be able to simply insert SDHC cards into these monitors for playback -- figuring this approach would simplify setup and transport by eliminating the need for the GH1, a computer, Blu-ray player or wired distribution to...
