Please anyone... Is it true that the best a DVX100b can do when shooting in 24P squeeze mode for YouTube is to upload a video with black masking on all sides? I know the camera is native 4x3 but I thought squeeze mode somehow gave me a full 16x9 formatted output? Are there any settings on...

I am shooting a skating show this weekend. Shooting 60i. Have found that on standard gamma, the people in black lacked definition. (a bit dark) Any suggestions for which setting might: - protect from white blow-outs and - give more definition to the blacks?
