Wow, she sure specs out nice.....but. If a 4GB card is$2000 and lasts only 10 minutes, it would run around $144,000 to keep two cameras going for 6 hours. That would not be very cost effective for wedding and event videographers.
I wonder what the largest card is, cause swapping out 8GB cards...
Anyone out there using the 4.6 hour MQ tapes? I would have occasion for using them, but am leary of them, cause they have to be half as thick as the standard 63 minute tapes.
Are there any known caveats using them?
Finally, has anyone experience trouble switching etween the consumer grades and...
I just got another frame of noise and audio pop with it. This happens randomly on about every 10th tape or so. Normally I would expect dirt, but it is so relatively rare, and I operate in clean environments.
Noramally, I use Panasonic AY-DVM60EJ, but thinking seriously of using PQ, or MQ. Any...
Is anyone out there as frustrated a I am with their Century 1.6x rear lens cap always popping off? I cannot find a drawstring pouch that would fit it and Schneider does not make a case for it. :'(
What are you folks doing to protect your rear........lens element?
Anyone seen one of these yet?

This is the only web link that I can find.....not even on panny's site.
Anybody familiar with these? Seems like they might have only one authorized retailer per country. Jeez.
They fit Century lens adapters, but are about as pricey as Chrosziel.
Is anyone who is using this lens shading it? Man, at 1lb 10 oz, this thing is mamoth, beautiful but huge.
I was thinking I might slip it inside some bellows with french flag, but no! The mount must be about 95mm in diameter.
Just got one the other day, and looks to be pretty nice. There is one quandary though. When hooked up, the battery power indicator shows a half empty battery. Does that sound right?
The standard battery is 7.2 volts, and so isn't the converter. I wonder whether the partially drained meter is...
Is there anyone out there that has an effective way to rig a battery belt to a tripod, so you don't have to wear it? I need to do an all day shoot, and I need to keep my QuickStream and Camera going all day without swapping batteries. Therefore, I'm going with a 12 amp hour belt.
Any help would...
Anyone having luck using DVX100 baterries in a PV-GS series camera? They look the same and spec out the same, and the recharger looks and specs the same except, of course, they all have different part numbers.
It's kind of a joke that the DVX100 recharger runs $160, yet is identical to the one...
I'm looking for a Director's Viewfinder and curious as to whether anyone has some suggestions. I am looking at the Kish-Optics DV model. It covers up to 40mm which is a tag short of our 45mm.
My bigger concern is how to work with a 1.6x adapter. There seems to be no zoom attachments or reticles...
Re: Epson R300 bad QC?
Wow, hope this turns around for you. I know of several folks who are having no issues with this printer, and I haven't (knock on wood) had any issues yet.
Anyone have some ideas for handling audio cables with a camera on a tripod? I'm going to mount an FMR RNP preamp on the tipod and run cables from it to the camera.
I don't want the weight of the cables tugging on the connectors, and I want them out of the way. I'll probably velcro the cables to...
I used my Neutrix Minirator (accurate within 2dB) and piped some white noise and 1000kHz through the camera. With ALC on, I could not get a signal great enough to break 3 red bars on the meter. I would not have thought the limiting to be so severe.
With ALC off, I could easily get the meter to...
