I just purchased some Dracast LED1000 Plus bi-colors and threw my AB gold mount batteries on them. After a minute or so I noticed the smell of burning electronics. I quickly removed the batteries and tested the lights on AC power and they seem to work fine so far. I haven't thrown the batteries...
