I was asked to help a local high school trying to make a small production for their senior project. They asked me to recommend gear, so I went with a Sony A6000, some basic lenses, a Zoom H4N and Rode NTG2 on a pole, basic entry level stuff. I need some help with lights though.
I got them a set...
Looking to source suggestions from the hive mind-
I've been asked to teach a film making class in a local high school, their goal is to create a short student film by the end of the year. I was given a very modest budget to update their equipment and naturally thought Sony would be a good way...
I have a client that is looking to buy their own lighting kit to leave set up for a series of weekly training videos. Its for use in an active warehouse, so the heat and length of cable for my old tungsten kit that I keep in the car (an older 3k watt Lowell kit) is less than ideal. So I'm...
I'm shooting alongside an A7S for event coverage, and I'm trying to decide between using my A5100/A6000 as the B-Cam, or my A7Rii in 1080p. I know the A7Rii is good in 4k + crop mode, but for storage and speed reasons that's not really an option for the event tomorrow. I recall everyone saying...
I was asked to set up a sort of DIY "mini studio" for an office that wants to produce live training videos to stream with real time questions from viewers.
The plan is to have 3 video sources (2 cameras and one screencast from a tablet), and audio from lav mics mixed in real time, and fed to...
I have a client who wants to record his own narration for some projects I'm working on.
He has a good mic (I actually set him up with one of my old XLRs and an appropriate adapter), but the problem is his desktop PC's input is SO. NOISY. At first it seemed really odd, I was getting distorted...
Pretty impressed with the MC-11 on my A7Rii and A7S, especially for stills. But for video, I've been shooting some more documentary style footage that would benefit from AF. I don't own any Sigma glass, so none of my EF lenses autofocus in video mode.
I've seen some pretty cool examples online...
Up for sale is a fully manual Vivitar-branded 85mm F/1.8 for Canon EOS mount.
Great manual control for video, much smaller than the Samyang 1.4 version.
Lens caps and hood included.
Without the hood you can see how much smaller it is
Selling my Canon 50/1.8 ii. Its a great basic lens and deserves to be in everyone's bag if they shoot Canon. I no longer own a Canon body and need to make room for new things!
Great condition. $75 OBO
I have a Commlite adapter that has the reflection problem fixed with black flocking paper inside.
(Commlite adapter is famous for working well but having occasional light reflections. Happy to say this one DOES NOT!)
As long as you don't need Autofocus features, this thing works quite well...
Looking to try out some STM lenses, particularly the 50, and/or the 40 2.8
Willing to trade other Canon-compatible lenses in my closet, including a Vivitar 8mm fisheye, Vivitar 85mm, Canon 50mm ii (plain ol version). Let's make a deal!
Up for sale are 2 lenses compatible with EF mount cameras, both in excellent condition:
1) Canon 50mm f/1.8 II classic lens (pre-STM) - $89 shipped
2) Vivitar 8mm Fisheye f/3.5 (only used a handful of times) - $120 shipped
PM me for questions. Thanks!
I'm shooting multiple angles at an event, primary cams are A7S (mark i and ii), and have access to an A5100 and A7ii as another angle. Which would be a closer looking match? I've shot with the A5100 and A7S before, and while the 5100 is clearly less sharp, it was pretty easy to make them look...
