Something I've really noticed recently-- not that the trend is recent, but my awareness of it is-- is what I will here call "anticipatory" editing, also kinda writing, I suppose, depending on if the original screenplay was written with the editing in mind the same way it ends up in the final...
It's all context. Those shots look nice above, but then you have the early/mid 2000s thing with the aggressive looks/grades...your Underworlds, etc. But if you guys are really passionate about it, lobby your congressmen and try to get green made the complementary color of orange.
I could tell watching the Sail video (back when it was just gaining traction, it seemed) that it was kind of a low budget video, but who cares? (I think) that song is awesome. Which is probably why it's been remixed and appropriated everywhere.
Thanks. I'm thinking more of the interior colors than the exterior stuff (although that certainly looks nice as well). Are we seeing all keys were tinted toward orange, backgrounds blue (obviously some were) on set, and to the degree they appear in the final product? That's kinda what I'm...
Same color contrast concept, but more of a pure blue and more toward yellow than orange, which makes it a little different than your Transformers/Taken etc. look. Less "edgy" and "action-y". Or maybe you're right and the TV I'm watching it on really sucks.
I think this show is pretty solid (especially season 2 which I ain't finished yet so no spoilers). Love the look, and I'm curious about it. Strong colors, mostly blue and yellow/orange. Wondering if anyone knows for sure or has insight into how they achieve it. Obviously some of it is...
Sometimes I think about why I find something I'm watching to be well-paced vs slow and interminable. I realize this is subjective to each individual, but I feel that there are probably, somewhere, other people who think like me on this. I was just watching the first episode of The Romanovs...
I know if this the weirdest thing that's ever been asked here, but hopefully top 10.
I have a short film I've been wanting to make for several years, MIGHT finally do it soon. One thing that's been written in is a cat tearing chunks off a dude's corpse and feeding the chunks to a baby. I...
I’m not sure what he’s talking about. I use the app on my phone but when online just go to writerduet.com and log in, use as intended. If youre paranoid about losing your stuff, you can save a project file to your hd. Have not bothered with the desktop app...always been online when using it on...
Here is our new music video. NSFW!!!!
Before anyone wonders, no it is not technically impressive. We did what we could but it was all done quickly (relatively speaking) in available light (including the venue) and fairly low-tech.
This was shot over quite a few days, two longer ones (8...
I have heard this works, cant test right now and would like to see if anyone knows before I spend more time on it. Apparently some folks say you can get better hd on youtube by creating a slightly larger than hd file (2048x1152 is the example I’ve seen used). This triggers youtube to stream it...
“Just don’t” jokes aside, there doesnt seem to be much info online about shooting C-LOG on the original C100. We recently (ish) shot a music video project, and I probably briefly considered LOG but find it intimidating especially in more chaotic situations (vs a carefully controlled set or sit...
Wondering if there’s a fairly thorough free turorial out there for the proper workflow for color correction/grading and using exclusively tools within fcpx. It looks like, after reading up on the tools that were introduced in 10.4, that staying fcpx will work for me for correcting/grading this...
Hi. I am working on a music video for my band that is stylistically reminiscent of 90s green day, and I am thinking pop punk music video looks from that era would fit it. Granted, looks are all over the place but I looked at a bunch of vids from the well-known bands of that era/style and many...
