“Since day one, RED has always pushed the boundaries at every level of our company. Our cameras have been to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, to the top of frigid Mount Everest all the way to the Marum volcano. But going to outer space...

I like using the green screen kino bulbs, very fast and easy to get a even key. Just watch out for bounce back because it's a green bulb hitting green, so the color of the bounce back will be a strong green unlike a tungsten or HMI hitting green. Distance, backlight, negative fill fixes the...

If you wanna talk numbers..... Well the Alexa has 14.5 stops of DR and can do 2.8k RAW (open gate for the XT is 3.4k RAW) and the f35 has 11.3 of DR and is HD only. Film has 14.5-15 and measures 3.2k-3.7k in resolution. So I would choose ALEXA over the f35 any day, cause it's closer to what...
Gonna give a little review on the rehoused, sigma 18-35mm 1.8t lens made by Allstar. I received the second production copy last week and been using it as my wide lens while waiting for the Schneider 18mm & 25mm Xenon to arrive. (Who knows at this point) first the build quality of the lens...
There's a lot of RED's on the thread, so I'll show some ALEXA love from a shoot a few months ago.

I have a possible upcoming job, where I may need a smaller camera then my EPIC DRAGON. So I'm looking to do a quick camera test with the GH4 and Sony a7s. Don't care about links of the test videos out. I wanna see how I can push it with my lighting. If you have a GH4 and/or Sony a7s in NYC...
Depending on the weight of the unit. You can easily put a c-stand on a combo stand and use that for your light stand. Just make sure you safety it too.
My company is now renting out a complete movi package with OP/TECH. Can fly anything from a 5D to a EPIC with cookes. Also offering a epic/movi package deal. Please contact our MOVI op/tech for pricing and availability.

Correct, it depends on the scene. And yea Gordon willis wasn't always dark in every scene. But he was known for being dark, that was his trademark. Not everything I shoot is dark, cause it depends on the scene and film. But I prefer to light dark and moody.
Well I'm a huge fan of Gordon Willis, and if there's one thing I'm known for I guess you can say is being "dark" I'm also known to get angry on set if someone mentions adding "fill" I guess I need to work on my temper when the F word comes up on set. But there's something magical in the shadows...
