    I base my C300 kit rental on the rates of a local rental house here in Toronto. I have to match their 1.5 day per week rate. You pay for 1.5 days, get the kit for 7 days.     C300: Buying a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM. New or used?

    I want to buy a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM. After reading the last thread, "used Canon lens issue" I wonder if I should buy new or used. There is about a $300 price difference. What do people think? Is buying used worth the savings. Any other horror stories buying used?
