I'm finding the LCD turns brighter when recording starts. Is there a way to calibrate it so it matches the non-recording brightness? The actual recording matches the non-recording mode. TIA

I have a brand new GH3 from B&H. I use it with the LCD flipped out and twisted upward. Sometimes the screen seemingly randomly turns off and I see the VF turned on. I have the Eye Sensor set to OFF but it still happens. Is there a way to force it to only use the LCD?

I find the histogram only useful for stills. In video I need to know if specific areas of the shot are overexposed or not and the Histogram is useless for that. I don't always have the luxury of my DP 4 when shooting video in the field. I don't see a way to calibrate the monitor on the GH3. How...
