Hey yall,

Here's the link to my 48 hour short film "House Of Blu"

http://media.putfile.com/House-Of-Blu

The film was shot on the DVX100A with the Letus35 Flipped, using 28 and 50mm Nikon lenses. It was edited in Vegas 6, with a little help in After Effects.

This was for the Phoenix 48 hour challenge... www.thea3f.net

Here's the guidelines:
Length: 0-7min
Theme: Mistaken Identity
Line: "I don't think this is going to work."
Prop: Someone had to be watering a plant at some point during the movie.

House of Blu walks away with 4 awards!!

1st place for Best Cinematography
3rd place for Best Acting
3rd place for Best Overall Film
Best Use Of Prop Award

The film will be posted on undergroundfilm.com

Looks good. The phone effect really bugged me just because if we see the mouth we should hear what's coming from the mouth in the room rather than what's coming from the mouth over the phone line. For the other person, the one we can't see, the effect is fine.

Great film. I was there during the screening and thought it looked great. I would love to see what you would do with more time.

Best,

Jason

PS-Yu might want to post this in DVX100 Screen Grabs/Clips section. You'll get more traffic there. Maybe one of the moderators will help out with this.

That looks very nice. The shallow depth of field thing is nice, but I felt like it was over used. Use it to tell the story not just for pretty pictures. again nice job and good work in the festival!

Follow Focus?

Follow Focus?

Just curious did you use and follow focus adapters? If so which ones?

And congratulations.

no focus follow, just focused using the lens... I'll have to post my "Achieving Your Dreams" PSA when I finish it... I shot it using the DVX100a and the letus35 flipped with 3 different lenses... Is there a way to post stills on the posts?

Screenshots of my WIP, a PSA for a school project. Shot on DVX100a and letus35 flipped, color-correction was all done in Vegas.

used canon 50mm lens, Nikon 28mm, Nikon 35-70 zoom SLR lens

It's a PSA on achieving your dreams, this kid is an Olympic Junior Track Champion.

dunno if thats a vignette or if the bokuh ( however its spelled ) is really dark on the out of focus areas ?

Nice flick AZboy... I was also at the screening for the A3F... Your film set the bar pretty high for the rest of the projects, especially since it was first to be shown. Hopefully we'll see more of your work soon.
