Ritual - demo reel

Hey all, this is my first post. I just wanted to share this very small demo reel of some footage I shot for a client's short film. It's called "Ritual". It's a very strange plot but some good potential for interesting visuals. Anyway, we've only shot about 20% of the film at this abandoned house a couple weeks ago and I put this reel together to show him some of the shots we got, so don't expect it to make any sense or anything.

It's H.264. Please right-click and save as...

I love that house at the end- thats got to be in a movie somewhere

looks like some good footage, atmospheric- I hope to see it as a finished piece.

Nice clips.

If this is your demo reel, you might want to consider trimming it down. If you intend to use this to get DP's jobs you definitely want to add you full name and contact information both at the beginning and end of your video, short and effective demo reel. This is too long... I good Director and producer for that matter usually have lots of reel to look at, you just want to give them the best and for the needed length of time. Some of the clip were repeated or too similar, cut the length down.

I did like your work though. Keep it up.

Thanks for the props!

RomanJaquez, I didn't actually mean demo reel as in "commercial" demo reel to get me dp jobs. I meant simply a video montage of footage to show my friend most of the shots we got on that day of shooting. They're solely for his eyes to see the visuals we have so far.

sorry, I shouldn't have used such a distinct term as demo reel. Didn't mean to confuse.

Hey, thanks Mark Dog.

As far as the specs go. I can't quite remember what the camera settings were, but for CC I use Magic Bullet, although I don't use the presets, I like to make up my own. I do all the editing in FCP. For the house shot we used a Kessler Crane. I love that thing!!
