She uses it enough for me to be able to say 'hey, remember the "butt water" guy? You gotta check out his Sci Fi short"

She thought it was cool too.
Now she knows your name - so I think you won't be called "the butt water guy" anymore.

Yay! I'm glad she didnt find it butt watery!

More pictures posted on the the front pages have to scrool to see them all. I put one of the Chinese Resteraunt one up and it looks be on dvd than wmv.

Awsome! My favourite so far by a long, long way. Oustanding in every area. The CC worked fine for me. The best thing about it was the two main actors and the beleivable dialogue, really brought the film to life and sucked me into their world. One example was when the guy said something like 'do you know any human that could have done this?' very natural and well executed. Stunning!

Best film I have seen yet. I f#$@in Love it. Very Blade Runner meets Cyber Punk. Seriously cool. Good blood work too

That's our man Joe Lisi III kicking ass in the make-up department. It was his first show
as head make-up artist. I think he did a fantastic job.

Some overhead shots of the main character shooting himself up reminded me of Requium for a Dream. They looked semi-fisheye. Also, did you speed it up a little. Maybe I just remember it like that because of the jump-cuts. Nice ass on that robot chick, BTW.

I wasn't shooting up, I was doing NOKE. Like it matters. I can still never show my mother this film.

"Why can't you ever make anything nice?" she always says.

It's hard not to like this one.

Very creative writing and solid acting. Interesting and effective CCing as well.

I love that it begs you to watch several times.

Something that struck me...

Title sequence was too quick and confusing. Could'nt read all the names and could'nt figure out the title was CPU ....it just went away too quick for me. It was a beautiful sequence though and I loved the numbers 10101010101010101010!

and the language....tisk tisk... Their has to be a better way to tell this without so much swearing. Just Kidding...I know you watched mine already.

Definately one of the top!

Hi I just joined, I trying watch all the movies and I've seen most. This one was so cool. Everything seemed to stick and was simply beautiful. I like that you have all the elements of an adventure drama film. Kept me entertained. I would like to see more. Make more movies, I want the whole collection. Top of my list. I hope to be able to get to all the movies to vote.

sweet man thanks alot for your support. and welcome!

Updateed with more specs and Script. you'll see the differences and lack of narration. enjoy!

I might be in the minority here, so take my criticisms for what they're worth ;)

I liked your use of color, but at times it really felt forced, gimmicy or like you were covering imperfections. The overall gritty look was good, but the color just went overboard for me at times.

You seemed to have some sound issues... not a lot, but at times the dialogue of the characters was hard to hear. Especially right in the middle (at about 3:25).

Some of the editing felt a bit awkward... and again, like you were covering up for lack of something else (maybe not enough coverage?).

Framing and cinematography were mostly good, though there were spots I couldn't quite tell if the shot being out of focus was intentional.

You did a good job with locations and practical effects. Some of the greenscreen and CGI (spaceship near 5:18) weren't so hot.

I didn't really feel drawn into the STORY... it kinda just went along for me. I didnt' feel it was boring, but I didn't really get into it either and I can't exactly put my finger on why. I also hated the end... it just felt cut-off to me, like you ran out of time.

Thanks for sharing your film -- it was visually different than everything else in the fest and while I didn't get into it all that much, it was intesting to look at the things you did to bring the whole thing to a completed piece.

Spidey, I'm more than amazed. This has become an INSANELY tight contest, with all of the top entries (in my book) being the best in their game on different levels.

Yours had a VERY dark, Sin City feel to it. Yours and jdanstan's also had very similar vibes, except his was more light hearted comic book, and yours was dark graphic novel.

The make up FX were beautiful ... the best in the fest, bar none. Too bad there's not an award for it ... you'd take the cake, in my opinion.

The cinematography was great, lighting, story, dialogue, acting, etc. I'm sure if I really looked I could try & nit pick this thing to death ... like any movie, if you look hard enough you can find SOMETHING to gripe about. But nothing stands out to me to comment on.

One of my favorites ... and the funny thing is, I'm getting REAL sick of saying that ... meaning there have been at least 7-10 films I want to call my favorites, all completley different in their own way.

Excellent, excellent job. Didn't know you much, so there was nothing to tell me I didn't think you could do this, but wow ... I had no idea you could do this.

So are you in Hong Kong or NC? Where'd you film?

Okay, I just saw a post above that questioned focus/framing a little. Now that I think of it, that probably popped into my mind as well, but this was such a messy, gritty film (in a good, unique way), that it almost felt purposeful and artistic.

Hey thanks man :-p

I surprised there wasnt many films with pratical SFX.

I'm in North Carolina at the moment. Eden.NC.

I'm really pleased you liked this film. I hope the best for your as well :) sorry if I havent gotten around to reviewing it. Been under the weather.

Hope to hear more from you and others :)
