Any good color correctors out there interested in color correcting job?

I'm in the South Bay area, California. Would like some basic color correction and clean up for our feature film.

Shot on DVX100a, cut on PPRO.

Would like to see some samples and possibly a resume of prior work. We don't have a large budget, but can scrape up what is needed for the work we need done.

please visit our site for information about the film and contact info.

Thanks,
Darryl

Cool treailer! I just think that the bar scene was a little bit dark and very red.

good luck

Tighten the trailer and it'll be quite a bit better. It feels a bit too long right now.

I love the ending... The scene where he's running away in the field. Nice slow motion. Was that 60i? Was everything else 24p?

Some funny moments. Good job!

I'd love to see the whole thing!

Edit: One other thing... When the song kicks in at the very end of the trailer. It felt very cinematic. I loved the way the trailer ended.

Nice comments, thanks....!

This is all raw footage, no color correction yet... yeah, the bar scene is a little dark, but on the big screen it looks nice and seedy...
All shot in 24p, stock dxv100a, no lense adapter, cut on PPRO 1.5

Keep an eye out for "M.O.G." in the festivals....

Nice story, nice attempt which is a plus. I was following the story quite well until the scenes started becoming too dark for someone to follow what happened, what caused the comottion and all of that, later on the scenes started getting bright, e.g, the car scene etc. I wasn't really feeling that, but I liked the story, great story!.

very nice...next time around...when you want to make a scene dark go ahead and light and then use the neutral density filter to darken it. use gels to color the scene and then in post you have the option of darkening it more or lightening it.

Very good man! What mic were you rockin' with? Aside from the shot with the two characters running out of the building, it sounded very good.

As far as editing goes, I'd put some slight motion in your text, and possibly change the font as well. It'd just be a minor change, but I think it'd help give it more life.

We had a good sound man, I know he had a Sein, but not sure which type.... He recorded the sound on a 24bit dat, BUT, the sound you are hearing was taken from the DVX. It records great with a good mic. 16bit all the way... makes for easy editing, I didn't have to sync up all the tracks, etc... and when 16bit goes to the mixing board, most people can't hear the difference between 16 and 24bit.

I don't have any software tools for text.... actually, I kind of like to keep the text simple and clean, not to distract from the actors and dialogue.

Glad you liked it....... thanks for your comments....

Yeah, I figure we've been seeing the same crap in theatres for years now.... digital monsters, cartoons w/celebrity voice overs and lame ass action heroes....

It's time for a movie about us. Just regular people.
