I’ve been using the first one extensively for 5 seasons on a tv show I’m shooting and was eager to upgrade, but this camera is absolutely useless to me unfortunately. Great thing about the first one was screen on both sides so I didn’t have to open the app all the time.
thia version can only record for 12 min I 4k on its internal battery and if you add one of the extensions, the camera isn’t waterproof anymore. Hats off to DJI for trying something different, but it’s not for me

You have alerted me to the shortcomings, thanks. I was waiting all summer for them to release the new version so I can start looking for dips in price on the original. The original is far more than adequate for my needs. I just like to hunt and "snipe" a bit of a break on pricing when I can. The original has been holding at Cdn$320 for a long time.

I think it was the review from digitaltrends that listed all the shortcomings. I’m very happy with th first one. One of mine broke down so I was planning to replace it.

A youtube reviewer said the first one dropped to $200 but I still see it at $299. If I can find it for $200 from a reputable seller I'll likely get one
