Collections vol.4: Mint in box

Top 3 right here. "Willsoooon!" Lmfao.

And check out that RED handlin' skill. How it's supposed to be DONE. Really though, good on all fronts!

I did not realize that you guys shot on Red in the first place.
Now I know why I like the look so much.

Yeah man, that's the thing. I'm a total gearhead so when I see RED footage, most of the time it's like "Why didn't you just shoot HPX170 or something?".

Matty and Geoff_Reisner have too much skill. The RED compliments their abilities really well. And, of course Jordans' content is LOL.

It all really works.

The execution of this was really great, guys. Though I think the dude was pushing it a little too much. I think he could have done a lot less and been much funnier.

She was really quite wonderful and I only caught her indicating once :)

But really really nice work.

The only other complaint I would have is Star Wars geeks have been done to death at this point and it went exactly where I thought it would. Would have been nice to see a little more thought put into finding a newer take on it and coming up with a real surprise.

That lens looked wonky to me. Is that because it's anamorphic?

mainly the wide shot in the living room, I think. Same of the shot of them on the couch, the two shot. Like a softening around the edges? Is that me being crazy or just cause I am looking at it on a 1080p 32" TV?

don't tell me you're looking at our tiny little compressed version on a 1080 tv!?
there was actually some blurring of some backgrounds in post b our colorist. That shot is one of them.
But the blur on Thomas's face is in the original. Thats what happens when you don't have lights, and you're not shooting on a d90.

fixed. d90 is SO LIGT SENSITIVE!
Red is not.

We did some street shooting on ours and the footy came out soooo much better than I thought it would, even with available lights. There is only one shot I'm really working with to bring up the exposure without the noise being too much.

But I was happy with how this stuff came out:

My keyboard is messed up so i'm sorry. fixed was in comment to blue instead of blur. Never used the d90 on this. Just commenting tat sooting wit red and anamorphics is a light sucker compared to te d90. I couldn't imagine shooting in natural ligt at zak's place wit our set up. part of te wonk look might be shooting wide open with the anamorphics due to our tin lighting package. part of it is a blur added in post wich didn't work for you.

-edited on a keyboard that isn't shitty

the way you're typing makes me think you're having a stroke. are you okay? i'll be home soon!

I love this short, it may or may not have hit too close to home but that's not what matters right now! Seriously, I really enjoyed it and your lead did a great job. Very well done.

This was a very good film, flat out. Yes, the Star Wars nut who remains socially awkward has been done to DEATH, but I feel like this film went to great lengths to make it fresh again. It was very visually appealing to me and the lead made me laugh so hard!

There is something about his character though that irks me a bit. He's absolutely hilarious and his timing is great, but I felt more awkward than I should the way he came onto her. The glasses bit was an excellent touch, but I got the feeling for just a moment (even though I knew it wasn't going to happen) that this guy was intending to go, right then, a LOT further than he did no matter what. It's not really prevalent, but I'm trying to find the most minute and abstract critiques because this film was just pleasing all around.

Truly enjoyed this one!
