Ok hi to everyone out there. Here is my problem.
The client wants the end result to be in 720p 60. I shoot in 12 hrs.
I have to shoot a 5 minute shot on a bike so the camera is the perspective of the person on the bike, i know there is gonna be some camera shake so im going to bring it into fcp and use the smoothcam filter. since there are going to be some parts of the clip where you can see the edge of the frame i know you have to scale it up. Would it be better to shoot in 1080 30p and scale down and convert to 60p? Or shoot 720p 60 and uprez to not see the frames? Thanks very much.

Shoot in 720p 60. At that resolution smoothcam should not degrade things too much. Of course the key is setting up that shot properly. If you're doing a shot on a bicycle wouldn't some level of vibration be expected anyway?

Well maybe I should explain a little more. The shot is to be played on a running video game. And the site will not let any motorized vehicles of any kind so this is last resort all the permits go turned down. I did test footage in sd and the smoothcam filter did wonders.
