Waiting for the battery to charge:)

So after saving for four months, I paid in cash and picked up my long awaited HMC-150 today from Texas Media Systems here in Austin. Now its just a matter of waiting patiently for the battery to charge. To fend off my anticipation I thought I'd spend somee time to give back to the forum that has been a wealth of knowledge. I also would like to finally introduce myself to the forum considering I'am a brand spankin new user. I just want to take the time to express how fan-friggen-tastic this forum is. I've pulled so much valuable information from this medium and want to thank the countless users for thir input. Now that I have something valuable to say, I feel like I can become a worthy contributor. I'm sure that I will have alot of questions to post in the technical section considering the last camera that I shot with was a Sony BetaCam for my universities sports video dept. First impressions out of the box: This thing is gonna be sick. Nuff said. Looks like the light finally turned off of the AC charger, which means its go time. Thanks again everybody!!!

Just don't get a cheap aftermarket charger from B&H ..the $20 one.
I bought two of them for extra chargers, and neither one fully charges the battery.

Yup...it makes for a pretty excellent day...

I hope you took tomorrow off of work...that's what I did...:)

:dankk2:Ughh.. That blows Hornet. Thanks for the heads up. Next up is a bag before shooting for SXSW. I wish I could take off work tomorrow, but, no dice. I'll make time this coming weekend to score some good footy

My suggestion is to stand over the charger, or place the charger on a stand next to you and look at the green light periodically. The more you check on it, the faster it charges.....

Seriously though, congrats. I remember the same feeling, it was fun.
