Its funny how the same people constantly bringing up the cmos/rolling shutter issue with Sony's Ex 1/3 are now silent when the 300 was announced. All of sudden it wasnt such a big issue anymore.
No problem there, let's do that.Whats the point, we could go on like this for days and get no where, we will have to agree to disagree
As we all should be.You probably think I am just a Sony fanboy but you wouldn't know the EX1 is the first Sony camera I have ever purchased & I'm happy to buy whatever is the best camera for my desires and budget
Thanks for namecalling, was that necessary? I used exclusively nothing but Sony equipment since 1986. My first Panasonic "anything" was a DVX in 2003. I keep trying other brands; I bought a JVC HD100 and returned it, bought a Red One and sold it (a year ago, it wasn't anywhere near ready). I like the way Panasonic listens to the customer and participates in the forums and builds their products based largely on our suggestions. I have also grown to have a serious distaste for the way Sony operates their business and the way they treat customers. They would have to have a major breakthrough in order to get me to seriously consider one of their offerings, and HDV isn't it, and an optical disc with MPEG-2 isn't it, and an 800mbps memory card recording 35mbps MPEG-2 sure isn't it., clearly you are a Panny fanboy so we are never going see it the way I do.
...whether the hpx300 has a bit more cmos than the ex or not (its really quite pointless unless theres a scientific identical test) and further more id add its pointless overall.
high-def broadcasters that require a minimum of 1/2" chips
- BarrySony could easily win my support back
excuse me, what kind of tripod did you use, $19.99 from Japan Camera?... it is impossible to get stable tripod shots either, because the bottom of the camera is not flat and it wobbles the moment you touch the tripod handle.
I think you should mind your manners Pete, the mans entitled to his view, while you are not entitled to suggest he's an incompetent just because he doesnt share your point of view. I myself preferred the hvx200 over the EX for its look and other characteristics - others have vice versa - among either point of view have been camera/dops of great skill and credibility. I would be disgusted to find myself acting so arrogantly as to suggest that somebody might be incompetent just because they don't like myyy luvvie duvvie camera.
You owe the man an apology in my book - agree to disagree. Likewise you too Steve Showler hehe should try to lend a man the benefit of the doubt for his camera preference before condescending him as a mere noob for his sake of choice.
