Cinemek G35 opinions

I've had a custom DVX search on my signature for quite some time dudes!

Juju... I thought you were getting a Letus! What happened to that?

I can't emphasize the power of the search feature whether it be a google site search or the crappy wait 60-seconds one on here. Juju, you've started a lot of threads: 35mm look without adapter, which mattebox, this adapter vs this, even a controversial Philip Bloom one! I'm pretty sure a lot of your questions can be answered by searching, others by experience, and others by deciding for yourself.

I also can't emphasize the power of practice. Whether you're a seasoned veteran with 35mm film and broadcast ENG cameras, a ASC DP!, or not, you still need practice with these DOFAs to find your own workflow/style/the works.

I think the best thing for you to do is pick one and go for it! You'll find what works for you and what doesn't. And you can potentially expand from there.

The M2E, Blade, Extreme, Brevis, G35, are all great adapters. When you look at the +'s and -'s of each adapter, it's a wash, they are all good. I've seen amazing work from each one, as well as terrible. If you're a good film maker, you should be able to take any of those adapters and make it shine. It's a very simple concept, good film makers make any gear look nice.

I swear people spend more time deciding what gear to buy than actually shooting with it! I used to lament over my purcahses, but I have finally realized it's mostly meaningless. It's fun to talk about and compare, but it gets to a point where you just keep going around in circles.

For the money, they all rock. Now pick and go shoot, very simple.
