Scarlet, Epic, delayed?

Jim says something about a month or two... How will this work for cameras that have schedules like "Summer 2009" and "End of 2009" ?

I sincerely hope the Scarlet S35 is somehow miraculously on schedule, but my hopes are down... Well, I'll wait untill August for my next camera purchase- my contenders are the HPX500+Brevis Relay, HPX300 (plus a 1/3 relay), EX3 (plus letus1/2 relay), the JVC700 and whatever Canon announces- I'm sure they will come up with something, and HOPEFULLY a Scarlet...
 
Awe man, that sucks. Hopefully it won't delay things too long. The first major thing will be when we can see a working prototype and download some footage to see what the Scarlet/Epic are capable of.

Until then I'm gonna use what I've got now, save money, and see what gets announced this NAB and later this spring and summer.
 
A real news flash would have been that the development of the new cameras is going according to schedule.:laugh:

Those original "schedules" were just WAG's.......................... in fact they never were schedules at all.

They might get HW released by EOY but I'm not counting on it. Don't make purchasing plans on this for sure.

The real announcement that would be worthy of a press release would be, Red ships all promised features on time and at price advertised.

This is not really news. No disrespect to Red I still want their cameras, but this is how Red does their thing.
 
They should just offer the $3750 fixed scarlet 2/3" along with the Epic Monstro sensor and make the RED ONE upgradable to Mysterium X sensor.
