just completed a little doc/informative piece for the news paper i work at, news-record.com

interviews were shot at 1080 24p and the b-roll was either shot at 720 60p or 1080 24p. and i edited it in a 720 24p timeline. lighting was tota stuck in a medium chimera and then a lowel pro light as rim/hair light. my second subject, mitchel, for some reason wanted to look at the camera the whole time and not the interviewer. thats my only real complaint with this. and its kinda long and probably boring to most.

nice job man! i didnt think it was boring. what a cool building. masonic things always kind of freak me out :) glad to see they will put it to good use.

Mangler that was great and I really enjoyed your lighting with the first interview. I love placing a subject on a black background even with my photography. Great job once again the HMC shines in the hands of a professional!

thanks for the comments!

my lav mic is a tram tr50, used in both interviews, hooked to sennheise g2's. usually i hide it, but the shoots were kind of rushed so i'd rather be able to get some b roll than hide a mic, haha.

and thanks for the lighting comment. i actually wanted to splash some background light in both interviews but on the first one if i plugged in 3 lights in that room it flipped a breaker(i was only asking for 1000 total watts?). so left the other similar.

is it just vimeo that stutters

is it just vimeo that stutters

Seems like every time I watch vimeo footage all the pans and moves are not smooth (jittery).
is it that way in your original footage?
thanks...

that may just be the vimeo encoding at 24p, since i shot and edited in a 30p timebase. when i watch the raw file i don't see anything jitter.
