Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help me with a question concerning a camera I am considering buying for our church to take on trips. I am considering a small format camera, it needs to be HD and tapeless. I liked the Canon Vixia HG20 or HF10. The 20 has a light shoe on top which I like.
My real concern is will this work well in post? Compression, editing, and most of all will it look good with our Panasonic HMC150 footage in post (or does that matter)? Keep in mind it is mainly for our traveling (missions, Disaster Relief, youth trips and so on). I am trying to learn, so any and all information is welcome. I also know there may be some difference in the "look" (comparison of images), but Les from Survivorman seems to do a good job mixing.
