35mm adapter rig photos

I finaly have my LEX setup the way I want it.
I used an old Betacam base plate, indian lens support plus a Crosziel rod support and mount.
Rock solid and beefy enoug to support my Zeiss primes.

I think it is a pretty elegant and clan solution, compared to the complicated and cluttered double riser construction I used before.

how did you attach the beta baseplate and rods to the camera. I've spent a day trying to figure that out. there doesn't seem to b enough space for an adapter and the rod section where the screw holes for the wedge are under the lens .... I have a a chroziel wedge and quickrelease plate leftover from a DSR500 and i cant see how to get them to mount the way you have

or did you simply rest the camera on the plate and the only secure connection to the rest of the assembly is the threaded lens???

Does that answer your question? :)

The rods are hold by a Crosziel support that snapps into the front "snap" of the plate.

The HVX is secured by the usual bolt. Took quite a drilling job.

I can post closeups if you want.

just for "reference" a closeup might be in order

Hope that helps.

The camera does not snap on the plate but is bolted on it with the typical screw.
Only the rod support is "snapable".

I work for Laugh Your Way America! (www.laughyourway.com) as media producer. I recently built a new rig for my own production company but brought it in to work to use for a shoot. Here are a few shots:

haha, dude...I honestly don't even know.

I made it like a year ago, just to see what it did.

its a macro lens on the camera, shooting through air as a GG/extension tube, with cardboard over top to avoid flare LOL

I shot test footage in the one night that I had it built...

Wow, I haven't watched this in a while...but its definitely a joke
