Spent the last few days editing stuff I've been shooting all year. It's a mix of dvx and hvx footage with some high speed stuff mixed in between.
You can download the higher quality version here or just watch here
Hope someone likes!

wow....was blown away from the first shot!! very good quality ....and the cars...*sigh*...what can i say. i'm at a loss...

was a bit odd to see the footage with the guy and the boob shot (not that i minded that one bit :D).

ur lucky to be around those supercars!!

good work.

I agree with jambredz about the other shots that were not related to the cars,
all though they were good looking shots, there wasn't enough of them for them to blend in.
But your reel looks great! What shutter speed do you shoot the speeding cars?

Usually they were pretty high. I just let the amount of available light dictate what to set it at.

Dolly shots were fantastic. They really helped to establish the feel and tempo of the whole thing. I'll differ with the pack on the cutaway shots. I thought they worked or at least they didn't throw me off track so to speak.
Excellent Work!

I watched it 5 times. Awesome. Were you using a 35mm adaptor? And on what camera if you were. Gotta love car porn.

Nice work- looks good.
The vignette wore thin after a while.
Kinda like tunnel vision.
Not that you used it all the time- but it's an affectation best left to using once in a while.

Ending the reel with the anemic Exige peeling out was deflating.
With all that heavy metal you had in the piece, I bet there's a bit of tarmac destroying burnout footage available that would be more dramatic a crescendo.
You want to leave them reaching for the phone, not the remote.

The look away shots (slo-mo stuff, jumping in water kid, rock in water, woman in outfit, soccer ball) are somewhat distracting- but, it's a REEL after all.
Just that you establish the automobile thing so well at the outset- and it seems to be your specialization- why not toss in some arty slo-mo shot at the beginning, ease into the auto footage, and break it up with the other bits?

Just trying to help tweak an already awesome thing.
Make of it what you will- or discount it completely.
(have you done some stuff for "Winding Road"?)

Lots of great shots! I've watched it a few times and really enjoyed it.

I'll make one editing suggestion. On some of your dolly shots, you cut into the motion before hitting peak velocity (or cut out while finishing the move). For a great compilation of action shots like these, I think you'd see a small but noticeable improvement in pacing if you only showed consistent speed in your dolly shots, as opposed to the tail ends of the motion.

Thanks for sharing.
