I'm always confused about something in my capture presets and I just read a whole tutorial on the setting up a project.

Why does it say my capture preset is DVC Pro HD 720p24 and then for my video playback it reads:
Video (missing) DVC Pro HD 720p60
Audio (missing) DVC Pro HD out

What are my capture presets and video playback different?
 
That's for capture from a Firewire compatible DVCPROHD device. Are you trying to ingest P2 footage? That comes in through Log And Transfer not Log and Capture.

Nope you would use Firewire to copy the footage to your hard drive, then log and transfer.

So, I am copying to my external hard drive through firewire and then log and transferring. So how do I get rid of this message Video (missing) DVC Pro HD 720p60

Is it not a big deal?
 
You get rid of the message by connecting a DVCPRO HD deck to the computer via firewire. But that is completely unnecessary. Nothing to worry about. Just means that you don't have a deck connected.
