HF100 Master Ped?

I'm about to get an HF100 for shooting narrative shorts and some concert b-roll. I'm looking to get as little noise as possible (ideally none) from dark areas in the image, and when I'm shooting with the HVX, I just crank down the Master Pedestal to about -8. It's probably just wishful thinking, but is there any feature like that on the HF100?

Not really, you don't have that kind of control on that camera.
You just shoot and make sure you have enough light.
You can crush the blacks in post.

No, but you can bypass the auto-gain by using Spotlight mode, or by using Barry Green's HV20 trick.

on the hf100?? hmm, i wonder if it'll work for the hf11...
