Melody for Allyriane - A Cowboy Scene Film

Good luck with auditions. How many are you casting? (sorry... I am sure that this info is at the beginning of this thread)

Still trying to figure out casting. I might have made a couple of decisions, but I'm still mulling it over.

Also still not sure what this will be shot on. Or where it will be shot.

So, basically, I got nothing.

They went fine. As I thought there were not too many people. It was a hard script to audition people from. You'll understand what I mean when you see the film. It's hard to be too specific without giving things away.

I had several very enthusiastic people though, and everyone seemed to be digging the script/story. And that's definitely a good thing.

Met with Ed Jackson, who's writing the title song for the film, and it's sounding good. He taught the beginning to me (a painful process considering how bad I am at the guitar). The meeting gave me a lot of new ideas of how to use music and sound in this film.

I still need to cast one more character. I have an audition for it later this week.

I also have to get locations. That's the part that really scares me.

So, there was a chance I was going to use a Red on this one, but that's not going to happen anymore.

No worries though, I have a few other camera options, and I'm kinda glad I won't have to worry about the Red workflow with all the other things I have to deal with on this one.

new workflow can be a real *****, so maybe it's a bit of a blessing in disguise. How's the rest of the development coming along?

Well Rodney, as of last night I am completely cast. I am happy to announce that Callen McLaughlin is joining the cast.

Dick has also offered the use of his HVX, so that is what we'll be shooting with.
