A film by Drew Ott....

Not sure. He's a busy guy and I haven't mentioned it to him.

Plus I'm probably shooting in Houston so that's a whole lot to ask when I most-likely won't have the money to pay for somebody's travels from Austin.

No idea what you're implying with that.

... and Como we haven't shot yet. You PM'd me asking to see the film but I haven't even casted.

No, I PM'ed you for the script, obv. not the film.

And HBlack's lovefest film had to do with fruits and foods...Just makin' a joke :)

Robbie

It was a reach, Robbie. A real reach. And why are you so nosey? I don't deserve this title, you do.

Oh, and why do I find it so fascinating to give you a hard time? :)

Some updates:

DP is locked. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0790707/

Shooting on the Red. (made that joke for my first two films thinking it was impossible but now we actually are)

Still trying to keep the budget at gas + food. Seems to be getting harder. I'm shooting in Houston (3 hours away) so it'll be a good test of my producer/organization skills.

I didn't know that, but now I'm really glad that I'm shooting in Houston.

(just kidding, of course)

Woohoo! Where in Austin? This is good news for the Austin 'user community.

We will be moved in to Austin as of the second week in February. Don't know where yet.

We want to spend about $800-$900, have a 70lb pitbull, beagle, and two cats. Want yard. Want to be closer to downtown / congress or campus rather than boonies.

Any leads are appreciated.

My GF got a job there. Hence the move.

Austin rawks. Looking forward to shooting / hanging with y'all.

I am from Texas. Lived there 25 years, Austin for 6 of those. I have a Texas tattoo on my right arm. Texas is very clean, very polite. But a bit stuffy except for Austin.

Clean and polite might not seem like such a big deal, but they are once you've lived a few different places that are remarkably neither of those two things.

I just saw the NY under you're name. We lived on Galveston Island for a few years back in the 80's. We made it over to Austin and the hill country a few times. It is one place I would move back too.

New Orleans is my fav. But the GF and I both like Austin.

To quote The Dead Milkmen:
"I loved it in Austin,
I wanted to stay.
Cheap rent and Lonestar beer,
Lots of places to play."
