I have been hunting around for the best of the low cost SDHC cards and Transcend seem to be regarded as one of the better ones.

I can get class 6 16gb for £16 which seems pretty darn good, but, has anyone tried them in the 150/151 yet???

If these stand up, they could be the answer to my prayers, as I want to use them for archival purposes much like my old DV tapes.

They are highly rated ...the class 6 versions.

Been using the 16GB no problems s far. been using 2GB Transcends in my SLR for a couple years now no problems there either.

Transcends are the best. I'm using the 16gig Class 6 SDHC. I haven't had any problems with is at all. I was able to upload 8gigs in 8 minutes onto my computer. A minute a gig is pretty good if you ask me. I've heard that some people have the same rate when loading data using the $1000 (USD) P2 cards. I think the $30 SDHC compressed footage isn't a bad deal.

Just as a reminder, you'll need an SD card reader that will work with it. None of my old SD card readers can handle Class 4 + or SDHC cards. When I bought the Transcend, it came with its own USB reader. Love that little thing. Works great!

I'll toss in my good report... I've been using 2 Transcend class 6 16GB cards with no problems. And the little "free" transcend card reader does seem faster than my other $30 SDHC reader!

If you think about it, if you just need to STORE the data, and not worry about how fast the SD card is, a cheap class 2 card will work just fine for backup. They're as cheap as large DVCAM tapes! I may store backups to data Blu-ray discs. Right now I'm paying $10 for 25 gigs of backup (Ridata BD-R)

The max transfer rate for the Transcend seems to be 20mbs/sec. Has anyone used the Sandisk ExtremeIII that has an advertised max rate of 30mbs/sec or is this overkill? Is it confirmed that the 150 will get up to the 24mb rate?
