Hey guys,

This is my first time making a trailer, so it's not perfect, but I think it gets the point across.

This is for my upcoming movie, tentatively called "A Time to Kill." We want to change it because there is already a movie called that starring Samuel L. Jackson. We just haven't thought of anything better yet so we're keeping it as our working title. If you have any suggestions for a title please share them. Otherwise I'd just like to hear your thoughts or feedback.

"Get me Jack Ryan". LOL! I like it. Looks like it's going to be a blast. I have to say the camera movement was really good on this. Had me laughing from jump.

Thanks. I wasn't sure how obvious it would be that this movie is a comedy.

Yes. A comedy or a sad sad tradegy. No, I knew from the acting and the costumes. I would've been shocked if you had said it was deathly serious.

Funny.

What's up with the Asian dude? LOL

What program did you use for the gun flares?

Interesting - definately a comedy. Keep pushing!

The asian dude is sorta the main henchmen. You know how in james bond movies they always have the really strong guy? same deal.

The gun flares were all done in final cut pro believe it or not. I downloaded some free muzzle flashes from here http://www.detonationfilms.com/free_stuff.htm

All of the Flashes I used were Standard def, 30p so I dragged them into a 1080/24p timeline, renderd, and exported. Then I imported them into my project render free. It worked really well.

Dude check out Action Movie Essentials.. I wish I had this early on. We'll be using these from now on. Everything just look better. You can indeed mod this stuff too in Photoshop and drop it right into FCP or whatever you're editing with. VCP is a great site.

By the way, I don't have a legal version of after effects, so I try to use it as little as possible. does it work the same way in FCP/Motion as it does in the tutorials?
