For Sale: Brand New HPX170 Sealed in box wobble free W/ 16GB P2 and Barry Green Book

hey

hey

just sold my xl2 was gonna get hold of a hvx200 , would this be of use to me being ntsc ? also would you ship to the uk ? also in your opinion which is better ?

This camera is much better in my opinion to the HVX200. I own both cameras and like the image and features much more on the HPX170.
You can search these boards for the details.

I would ship to the UK.
It is NTSC.

I used to have HVX and sold it because I wasn't able to afford P2 Cards and it shot terrible picture on mini dv which was 480i. I don't know much about HPX but reviews have suggested its a way better than camera on mini dv as well along with P2. In case you can't afford P2 cards...this is way better than HVX ..........

if cant afford P2 u cant afford hpx170 because it doesnt have any mini dv deck.

oh

oh

well i can afford the p2 cards.. so what your saying if im gonna be filming in SD i might as well get the hpx cause the hvx is not too good.

id of just kept my xl2.

anyway im really interested in this cam it comes with the p2 anyway ?

but after obviously going after a "film look" so which would be able to offer this one has to be more achievable than the other .. taking away the bias because you are the one selling it i have yet to see footage anywere to back up the claim that the hpx is better..

and i now its not really about the camera its about what you do with it.. lighting..etc etc but one will be better not necessarily the more expensive.

now i plan on filming in HD 1080i what would i be looking at length wize on a 16b card and how easy is it to stick a 35mm adapter on the end of this beast =]

This camera is considered by many to be the best all around adapter camera. It has a waveform monitor on it and a button to turn the focus ring into an iris ring. You do not have to worry about the focus changing on you.
Look in the adapter section of this forum and see the many folks speaking about the HPX170 there.

This camera has NO tape drive. It is ONLY P2 cards. It comes with one 16GB card that will record 16 minutes of 1080i footage or 42 minutes 720p 24PN.

1080i can also be 1080p by using the 30 or 24p modes in the 1080i selection.

Thanks for the offer Calix, but 3900 and me keeping the card would mean me paying retail for a P2 card that is free in the kit, and loosing money on top of that.

I will sell that camera for $4500.00 without the free card.

Not true, 5200 is not the lowest you can get from an authorized pani dealer
I bought mine from julian at avsupply from 4800 shipped with the wire transfer option...just a note

Aalleexx,
While I appreciate your desire to educate people, and despite the fact that your post is in flagrant violation of the rules for the marketplace forum, I will agree that $5200 is not the lowest possible price you may find VIA TELEPHONE. It is however the lowest you will find on a NON-gray market listed internet price.

BUT NOWHERE in my previous post did I say that 5200 was the lowest. Nor did I state that every OTHER site had the camera listed for 5200. Your use of "NOT TRUE" implies I was misleading people. I was not.

So to restate,
This BRAND NEW in the box HPX170 is for sale for the lowest price you will find $4800.00. You can get the same camera for 5200 from BH and Spec-comm with a battery, or $4800 plus shipping from AVS's Julian DIAZ- his number is 8585651101 EXT 434, you may have to wait for a few weeks. OR you could buy it from me now.
